May 15, 2011 Ron attended his first Cutting Horse Competition (Evergreen Cutting Jackpot) in the MCHA placing first in the 2000 Limit (6 Points) and fourth in the 15,000 Amateur (2 Points).
May 5-6, 2011 Ron and Haidas Smoothie attended the Cutting Clinic for Novice Riders hosted by the Evergreen Land and Cattle Co. with World Champion Cutter Lindy Burch of Texas.
We are hoping the weather soon clears up here in Manitoba and the wet conditions subside. We will be posting more Foals photos and new arrivals as soon as possible.
We are so proud of our stallion, Haidas Smoothie! He was in the Canadian Supreme Cutting Horse Competition in Red Deer, AB recently and had a good cut. We also entered him in the Calgary Stampede Cutting Horse Futurity ridden by Guy Heintz (photo below) and he was a “Finalist” finishing 8th out of 39 in the Open Classic. Also in the Open was "Don't Look Twice" and "Third Cutting". This is a tremendous accomplishment! He now has $5,125 in NCHA Earnings as well as his COA Award.
